The GBRA represents the neighbourhood to the City, providing a unified voice with a mandate to improve the quality of life in the area.

Executive Committee

GBRRA Headshots-4Fiona Walsh – Chair

Fiona has lived in North Vancouver since 1974, and in the Grand Boulevard area since 1979. She loves to walk along the Grand Boulevard path and to hike in the North Shore mountains. She rides a bike almost everywhere – and sometimes walks beside it … on hills.

GBRRA Headshots-8Marilyn Watson – Secretary

I have lived in North Vancouver off and on since 1960. I think it is such a beautiful place, with its parks, many hiking trails, mountains, interesting shops, and views. We are self-contained (who needs Vancouver), but close to other areas if we wish to travel out of N.V.

GBRRA Headshots-6Carole Stewart – Treasurer

I have lived on the North Shore for most of my life and in the City since 1994. In 2010, I retired from Blue Shore Financial in order to spend more time with my grandson and my garden. I love to walk on the “Boulevard” and admire the trees. North Vancouver is a wonderful place to live and I want to help keep it that way.

GBRRA Headshots-5Susan Conn – Member at large

I am a member of the GBRA as I care about our “Grand” community. I particularly like the character of the neighbourhood. I attended Highland Elementary school and Delbrook High in the District. I have lived in the Grand Blvd. area since 2007. The Ridgeway School structure is unique and I love Andrew’s coffee shop. Our Bulletin includes current Concerns and Events in the Community.

Oliver Harden – Member at large, Webmaster, Photographer

I have been a North Vancouver resident since 2000 and have lived in the Grand Boulevard area with my family since 2009. We enjoy the almost small town community feel of our neighbourhood, with easy access to recreation, stores and restaurants in the Lonsdale corridor, in Queensbury and Lynn Valley, as well as great schools. My main reasons to join the GBRA were my desire to get involved with initiatives to maintain or improve the quality of life in the Grand Boulevard/Ridgeway area and to always stay well informed on “things going on”. I look after the GBRA website and have occasionally been seen carrying a camera at GBRA events.
